Reset a password
For the person who set up Stuga.
For the person who set up Stuga. A reset link lets someone choose a new password. To change your own password while signed in, use Settings → Profile → Password.
Create a reset link in Settings
Section titled “Create a reset link in Settings”- Open Settings → This node → Access, then Account recovery.
- Under Account, select the person.
- Choose Create link.
- Copy the link and send it to them.
The link is shown once, works once and expires after 24 hours. Using it signs that account out everywhere else. It also sets a first password for someone who has only used your organization’s sign-in service.
Recover access on a Mac
Section titled “Recover access on a Mac”If nobody with access to This node can sign in, use the computer running Stuga.

Open Terminal, in Applications → Utilities.

Follow the Mac command setup to add the
stuga-nodecommand to this Terminal window. -
Run this, replacing
livwith the Stuga username:Terminal window stuga-node reset-password livIf asked, enter the password you use to approve changes on your Mac. Nothing appears as you type.

Open the link Terminal prints and set a new password.
Recover access with Docker
Section titled “Recover access with Docker”In the folder where you installed Stuga, run this with the Stuga username in place of liv:
./stuga reset-password livStuga must be running. Open the link it prints and set a new password. If you lose the link, run the command again.
- Sign in with your organization’s accounts — add another way to sign in.
- When something goes wrong — find other sign-in problems.
