Connect Claude Code
It adds Stuga for every project on your computer. Edits to document text and databases wait for your review, by default.
What you need
Section titled “What you need”- Claude Code on your computer.
- Stuga open in a browser on the same computer.
Add Stuga
Section titled “Add Stuga”-
In Stuga, open Settings → Your AI agents. Under App, choose Claude Code.
-
Copy the command the page shows, with its copy button, and run it in Terminal.
Stuga fills in its own address, so copy the command from Stuga, not from anywhere else.
-
In Claude Code, run
/mcp, choose stuga, then Authenticate. -
Your browser opens Stuga’s approval page. Choose the workspaces and the access, then Allow.
To check, ask Claude to suggest an edit to a document. By default, it waits for you to accept it. A document set to Let AI edits apply directly applies it at once.
When the page asks for a key first
Section titled “When the page asks for a key first”Claude Code can sign in through the browser only at some addresses. When Stuga’s address isn’t one of them, the page says so, and the command carries a key instead.
- Under Access, choose Read and propose edits or Read only.
- Under Lifetime, choose how long the key works, such as Expires in 30 days, or Never expires.
- To keep Claude to some folders, pick them under Only these folders (empty = everything you can reach). Leave it empty for everything you can reach.
- Choose Create key. The command now holds the key.
- Copy the command and run it in Terminal. Copy it now: Stuga shows the key only once.
The next Claude Code session has Stuga. There is no sign-in step.
Remove it
Section titled “Remove it”In Your AI agents, open Uninstall from Claude Code and copy the command it shows. Then revoke the connection under Connected agents: removing Stuga from Claude Code alone doesn’t end its access.
- Review what an AI changed: accept or reject Claude’s suggestions.
- Choose what an AI tool can reach: workspaces, read only, folders and expiry.
- Disconnect an AI tool: end its access.
