Export a workspace
You need the workspace’s Owner or Admin role. The export includes the items you can open.
Export your workspace
Section titled “Export your workspace”-
Open Settings → This workspace → General.
-
Under Export, choose Export workspace.
Your browser downloads the file, named after the workspace. Large workspaces take longer.
Keep the file together to import it into Stuga. You can also unzip it to open the documents in an app that reads Markdown, a plain-text document format.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”The export holds folders, documents, database tables and rows, saved views, row pages, images and attached files. It includes comments with their authors’ names, instructions for AI tools and documents’ and databases’ review, lock and search settings.
Sharing and membership need to be set up again after importing. The person importing owns the items, and mentions of people become plain text. Version history, AI review and activity history, collections, favorites and row creation and change times stay behind.
An export is for one workspace. To preserve all of Stuga, including accounts and history, use a backup. You can run one export at a time.
- Move a workspace to another computer — import the file elsewhere.
- Back up and restore — keep all of Stuga, including accounts and history.
- Import from Notion — bring work in from Notion.
