Import from Obsidian or a folder of notes
A vault is the folder where Obsidian keeps your notes. Markdown notes are plain-text files ending in .md. Zip that folder to bring its notes and attachments together.
Zip your notes
Section titled “Zip your notes”On a Mac, right-click the folder in Finder and choose the option to compress it. Keep the zip file it creates. Files and folders whose names start with a dot, including Obsidian’s settings and trash, are left out of the import.
Import into Stuga
Section titled “Import into Stuga”-
Open the workspace switcher in the top bar and choose Create workspace.
-
Under Start with, choose Import, then select the zip.
-
Enter a Workspace name, or leave it empty to use the folder’s name.
-
Under Who can use new documents?, choose the sharing you want.
-
Choose Create workspace.
If some files will be left out, Stuga lists them first. Choose Import to continue, or Cancel.
The workspace opens when the import finishes. You own its content.
