Section titled “Add a Files column”- In the table, choose Add column, the plus button at the right end of the column headers.
- Type the Column name, such as Attachments, and choose Files under Type.
- Choose Add column.
Attach files
Section titled “Attach files”In a row’s Files cell, do one of these:
- Click the plus button (Add files) in the cell, and pick one or more files.
- Drag files from your computer onto the cell.
Each file is saved as soon as it has uploaded; there is nothing else to press. The same works in the Row panel, which has more room (see Open a row as a page).
Each file can be up to 10 MB, unless the person who set up Stuga raised the upload limit.
Download or remove a file
Section titled “Download or remove a file”- Click a file’s name to download it.
- Click the cross (Remove) beside a file to take it out of the cell.
Find rows by their files
Section titled “Find rows by their files”In Filter, a Files column offers contains and does not contain, which match file names, and is empty and is not empty. See Save views of a database.
Good to know
Section titled “Good to know”- The files are stored in Stuga with the database, and come along when the workspace is exported.
- People who can only view the database can download its files, but not add or remove them.
- An AI tool can upload a file at once; adding its link to a row waits for review by default. A database set to Let AI edits apply directly applies that change at once.
- Open a row as a page: notes and comments for one row.
- Add images and files: files in a document.
- Create a database: set up tables and columns.
