Write together

You need Can edit access to write; Stuga saves as you go.

Round badges beside the title show everyone who has the document open, with their initials in their own colour. An AI tool that is working in the document shows a ✦ instead of initials.

  • Point at a badge to see the person’s name.
  • Click a badge to jump to where that person is writing.

In the text, each person’s cursor is a thin line in their colour. Their name shows on it when they start typing, and when you point at it.

A small dot beside the title shows the connection. It is green while everything you type reaches Stuga. If it changes, it says what is happening:

You see What to do
Reconnecting Nothing. Stuga reconnects on its own and catches up.
Changes are waiting for connection Keep the tab open. Your changes are sent when the connection comes back.
Changes are not reaching the server Keep the tab open; it keeps trying. Check your Wi‑Fi.
The server can’t store changes Keep the tab open, and tell the person who set up Stuga.

A label beside the title says why:

  • View only: the document was shared with you to read. Ask its owner for Can edit.
  • Locked: someone froze the document for everyone. The owner or someone who looks after the workspace can choose Unlock in the ⋯ menu beside Share.
