What you need
Section titled “What you need”- Claude Desktop on the computer you use, with your own Claude account.
- Stuga open in a browser on the same computer.
Each person connects their own Claude. It acts with your access, never more.
Add Stuga to Claude
Section titled “Add Stuga to Claude”-
In Stuga, open Settings → Your AI agents. Under App, choose Claude Desktop.
-
Choose Add to Claude Desktop.
Your browser saves a file named stuga.mcpb.
-
Open the file. Claude Desktop asks to install it: choose Install.
Claude shows your Stuga’s address, already filled in, and an optional key. Leave the key empty.
-
Quit Claude completely, then open it again. Closing its window leaves it running.
Approve it in your browser
Section titled “Approve it in your browser”The first time Claude uses Stuga, your browser opens Stuga’s approval page, which names the app.
- Under Workspaces, keep the workspaces Claude may use ticked.
- Under Access, choose Read and suggest changes, or Read only.
- Choose Allow.
Claude’s tools for Stuga appear. To check, ask Claude to suggest an edit to a document, then accept it in the document. A document set to Let AI edits apply directly applies the edit at once.
If it doesn’t work
Section titled “If it doesn’t work”- Claude doesn’t show any Stuga tools: quit Claude fully and open it again. Closing the window isn’t enough.
Remove it
Section titled “Remove it”In Your AI agents, open Uninstall from Claude Desktop. It says to remove Stuga under Settings → Extensions in Claude Desktop, then revoke the connection in Stuga. Removing it from Claude alone doesn’t end its access.
- Review what an AI changed: accept or reject Claude’s suggestions.
- Choose what an AI tool can reach: what the approval page means.
- Give AI tools instructions: tell Claude where notes go.
